Love making is a naturally occurring part of a loving relationship. We all seem to crave the close and intimate touch of a partner. The feeling of their skin on ours and the deepening of our connection with them through the act of love-making.

How do we ensure that we are able to have beautiful love-making and great, raunchy sex?

  1. Communicate with your partner: Open communication is key to having a satisfying sexual experience. Open communication is about creating a space where you can both be open and honest about your feelings, experiences, desires, and concerns. Talk to your partner about what you like and don't like, and be open to their feedback as well. Make sure to avoid judgement and minimising or negating their feelings and desires. Allowing each of you to speak and be heard allows you to build that connection that creates a deep sense of intimacy.

  2. Explore your body: Understanding your own body and what feels good to you is essential to having great sex. Take some time to explore yourself and figure out what turns you on. The idea behind learning about your own body and what feels good is that you can then transfer that knowledge to your partner and they can then understand what you enjoy and what turns you on.

  3. Focus on foreplay: Foreplay can help build anticipation and arousal, making sex more enjoyable for both partners. Take your time with kissing, touching, and other forms of stimulation before moving on to intercourse. Of course, it can be tempting to shorten the amount of time spent on foreplay, however, the advantage is that it can increase the level of arousal so that the ultimate release is more intense and enjoyable.

  4. Experiment with different positions and techniques: Trying out different positions and techniques can help you find what works best for you and your partner. Don't be afraid to get creative and try new things. Of course, you don't need to go the full karma Sutra, just be willing to try different things. You could also try different situations or locations. Of course, be mindful of who may unwillingly stumble across your activities.

  5. Relax and enjoy the moment: Finally, remember that sex is supposed to be enjoyable and fun. Try to relax and let go of any anxiety or stress, and focus on the pleasure you are experiencing in the moment. If you find yourself tensing up, which can lead to anxiety based problems, pause for a bit, talk to your partner, take some deep breathes and start again slowly.

Ultimately, quality love-making or even a quickie is about creating a physical, emotional, and spiritual connection with your partner so that the level of intimacy and connection with them is strengthened and increases that quality of your relationship.

In regards to how often, or how long, this depends on individual preferences and your sex drive. Studies have shown that once per week is a good number to start with and how long is completely up to you.
